This page aims to provide a clear overview of how we manage your personal information collected during the publication process, your rights as a contributor, and the steps we take to ensure your privacy is protected.

We structure our policy statements according to the personal data we manage, including editors, reviewers, authors, contributors/patients, and third parties.

Editor Data

• The editor data we collect includes name, affiliation, expertise, email, phone number (optional), and their professional profile link.
• This data is provided directly by the individual or through collection methods acknowledged by them.
• The editor data displayed on journal pages and published content includes only their name, affiliation, expertise, and professional profile link.
• We do not provide editors' personal contact details to anyone.
• User communication with the editorial team is conducted only through our journal's official email ending with @etflin.com.

Reviewer Data

• The reviewer data we collect includes name, affiliation, expertise, and email.
• This data is collected either directly from the individual through registration forms or through peer-review invitations by editors.
• Reviewer data displayed on journal pages and our published content includes only their name and affiliation.
• Reviewers who wish to remain anonymous will not have their data disseminated in any form unless agreed upon collectively.

Author Data

• We collect author data through their article submission process on our Online Submission System platform.
• The author information we obtain includes name, affiliation, country of origin, Scopus ID, ORCID ID, email, biography (optional), and login credentials (username and password).
• To ensure transparency and correspondence, we display all author data on journal pages and published content with the author's consent during submission.
• This information can be used to communicate with authors regarding their published content. Authors also hold copyright to their work, so requests for copyright permission can be made directly to them.

Contributor/Patient Data

• We rigorously protect the privacy of contributors in research or data we receive.
• We require authors to attach an informed consent file format and declare its inclusion in the published manuscript.
• Contributor data must be securely managed following guidelines for research involving humans. Refer to our policy on ethics and consent.
• We publish contributor data anonymously or pseudonymously as agreed upon in the informed consent in the form provided by the author.
