Following are an important checklist for the Editors of ETFLIN Journals that must be paid attention to.

Important checklist for ETFLIN editors to minimize errors

Although a checklist before publication note is already available for the Editors in the editorial manuscript manager, following are the additional important checklist that the ETFLIN Journal Editors must pay attention to. These are simple yet important checklists that can be easily forgotten. It is very important to cross-check and double check the article data before its final publication.

After the initial submission, the Editors must check this before further processing
  1. The ORCID ID should be only the numbers, not the link.
  2. The Scopus ID should be only the numbers, not the link.
  3. The affiliation panel should not contain symbols.
  4. The article title should not contain symbols and uncommon abbreviations.
  5. The email addresses are correct.
Article metadata
  1. The article type mentioned in the submitted MS Word file should match the article type available in the online panel.
  2. The article title should not contain symbols and uncommon abbreviations.
  3. The article abstract is lesser than or equal to 250 words.
Date
  1. During the publication process, the date written in the Final PDF file should match the date entered in manuscript manager.   
Author details
  1. The email address must be correct and verified.
  2. The ORCID ID should be only the numbers, not the link.
  3. The Scopus ID should be only the numbers, not the link.
  4. The affiliation panel should not contain symbols.
  5. The affiliation submitted online matches the affiliation provided in the MS Word file.
References
  1. Before online publication, it is compulsory to format the references of all articles using the "Numbering feature".
Crossref XML file
  1. The XML file for submission to crossref must be thoroughly checked and re-checked before submission.
  2. The ORCID value must be authenticated and its value should be "true".
  3. The affiliation of the each authors must be present and should not be missing.
  4. Check the publication date, acceptance date, journal volume, issue, page numbers, doi, article ID, publisher, etc.
  5. Check for any missing values so that correction can be made.
